    Open questions

Does this need a physical device?

Not necessarily. We want to start with the phone and see whether mounting, battery or ruggedness requirements justify a separate device.

    What would machine learning contribute?

Possible uses include speech detection, transcription, speaker separation and filtering background noise. Models could also recognize movement, connect communication to places, and highlight events or patterns for the review.

    When can I use it?

There is no launch date or public access yet. The idea is at the concept stage and needs development and testing before release. A limited-feature open-source edition is also a possibility.
